What we do for carriers

Permits and routing for loads that don't fit the legal box, from a single overwidth move to a multi-state superload.

01

Oversize / overweight permits

Single-trip and annual permits in every state on your route, filed with the right dimensions, axle data and travel windows.

Width · height · length · weight · overhang
02

Superloads

Transformers, chillers, vessels and generators. We plan the route, coordinate state engineering reviews and escorts, and keep every state's conditions in one package.

Multi-state moves, 13-axle and up
03

Routing advice

A permitted route, drawn and checked against height, weight and construction restrictions by people who have driven these loads, before your driver leaves the yard.

Route line · GPX · driver brief

Permit quotes

Send the load, the truck and the lane. You get the permit cost for every state, the routing fee and the lead time before you commit to the move.

The software

From the state's permit to pins on the road.

A permit is a page of text: route segments, restrictions and mileage. Our permit-to-GeoPins engine reads it, turns every segment into numbered pins and a drawn route, and checks the drawn miles against the permit's miles, row by row.

Every pin is a decision point the driver can see on the map and in the brief. When the drawn route and the permit disagree, we fix it before the truck moves, not at the scale house.

IronRoute DriverThe permit, the route and the brief on the driver's phone. Free.
Driver app · free

The permitted route, and nothing else.

Most GPS apps reroute the moment you miss a turn. On a permit load that puts you under a bridge you are not allowed under. IronRoute Driver follows the permitted route and never recalculates.

  • Turn-by-turn voice guidance that starts when you are on the route
  • The original permit and the driver brief, one tap away for the scale house
  • Your speed against the road limit and the permit limit
  • Permit conditions in view: travel window, night travel, the next restriction
  • Elevation, weather and daylight along the trip; iPhone, iPad and Android, saved to the home screen
